Many know Pi Day as an annual salute to the mathematical sign pi—the irrational, transcendental, infinite number whose first three digits are 3.14. Celebrated around the world every March 14, Pi Day has special significance here at CTY, as it represents the curiosity and love of learning that our staff, students, families, and alumni all share.

Once again this year, we’re celebrating Pi Day during the whole month of March, and you can participate by making a gift to CTY. 

The CTY Scholars Program, a scholarship and advising program for academically advanced high school students, has received a $25,000 contribution from AT&T.

Recent CTY research has found that new academic content and novel learning approaches and delivery are essential to engaging and challenging bright students through out-of-school learning opportunities. 

This research was featured on the Hub, Johns Hopkins University's news website.

Local students attended a celebration on the JHU Homewood campus to mark the end of a fruitful year of academic exploration through the CTY Baltimore Emerging Scholars Program.

The Goldsmith Family Foundation began supporting CTY in 1992 as another way to accomplish their mission to improve the quality of public education for students in the Baltimore City Public School system.

Staff at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth came together in their Mount Washington office March 14 for a Pi Day pizza party and fundraiser to support their work with academically advanced K-12 students.

We're thrilled to announce that we've expanded our On-Campus Summer offerings in Baltimore! Due to extremely high demand, CTY has added an additional session for students in grades 2-6 at its Gilman School day site. Second-session courses will run July 16-August 4, 2023.

CTY is excited to announce a $5 million gift to establish the U.P. Sircar Family Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund. The fund will enable students from under-resourced communities to participate in CTY programs.

The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) recently awarded Emily Delinski, the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth’s (CTY) senior research program coordinator, with the 2022 Master’s and Specialist Award.
