Johns Hopkins University is conveniently located in Baltimore between several major cities, including New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Founded in 1876, it is the first university in the United States dedicated to teaching and research. The 140-acre Homewood campus in the Charles Village neighborhood of Baltimore has air-conditioned residence halls and classrooms; state-of-the-art science facilities; the Milton S. Eisenhower Library, the university’s research library; and the Brody Learning Commons, a 24/7 space built to foster collaborative learning. About 300 students and 75 staff are expected to attend each session.
