Club
Want to solve problems and learn strategies with other kids who love competitive math? Then welcome to the club! Through weekly meetings and asynchronous forum discussion, you’ll work with a small team of classmates to solve problems in an informal environment. CTY club coaches lead virtual synchronous meetings where you’ll get a chance to interact and learn as a team.
While this math club doesn’t replace any CTY courses, it’s a great way to meet like-minded students and explore challenging topics together.
A few notes about CTY High School Math Club:
This is not meant to replace or be considered a core piece of any course that CTY offers. While curricular content will be introduced, it is not at the quantity of a course, the focus is on giving students a chance to interact as a team rather than individual time working with a club advisor.
Meeting times
Early fall, winter, mid-summer: Tuesday – 7-8 p.m. ET
Late fall, spring, early summer: Monday – 8-9 p.m. ET
Time Commitment: 1.5 hours per week (1 hour club meeting, 30 minutes independent work).
