Mary Bloom Hyman, a dear friend and supporter of the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth whose dedication to advanced learners spanned half a century, passed away on Sept. 23, 2024, at the age of 97. Her contributions to CTY were singular in their impact.

CTY Baltimore Emerging Scholars Profiled on WBFF TV

CTY executive director Amy Lynne Shelton, PhD joined CTY Baltimore Emerging Scholars Ava, Kaiden, and Tori on WBFF FOX45’s “BMORE Lifestyle” for a live interview about CTY’s free academic enrichment program for bright Baltimore City Schools students. Founded in 2014, the program brings innovative, hands-on coursework to 400 city schools students with high academic potential each year.

Deep Dives into Favorite Topics This Summer at CTY

Students in grades 2 through 12 came from 45 U.S. states and 44 countries to participate in The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth's three-week summer On-Campus Programs, where they dug into fascinating courses like Astrophysics, Crafting the Essay, Data and Chance, Great Cases in American Legal History, Marine Ecology, and The Ancient World.
