Cooke Young Scholars Application Workshop

Families of advanced learners in the 7th grade are invited to a workshop to review the application process for the Cooke Young Scholars Program, a five-year, pre-college scholarship that includes planning and goal-setting, funding for academic and extracurricular opportunities, annual summer programs, and peer networking. We will review the application in detail to help families understand key points to completing and submitting an application by the deadline date so that their child can be considered for this opportunity. Families will have the opportunity to ask questions about the application process.

CTY Baltimore Emerging Scholars Profiled on WBFF TV

CTY executive director Amy Lynne Shelton, PhD joined CTY Baltimore Emerging Scholars Ava, Kaiden, and Tori on WBFF FOX45’s “BMORE Lifestyle” for a live interview about CTY’s free academic enrichment program for bright Baltimore City Schools students. Founded in 2014, the program brings innovative, hands-on coursework to 400 city schools students with high academic potential each year.

CTY Is Now Enrolling for Summer 2025!

Registration is now open for CTY’s 2025 summer On-Campus Programs! At CTY summer sites, students in grades 2-12 spend three weeks forming a vibrant learning community and making lifelong friends. Our courses are designed for kids and teens who enjoy rigorous, hands-on coursework, lively discussions, and a culture of curiosity and academic exploration.
