About the Course
In this course, you’ll develop your communication and persuasion skills and discover your oratorical superpowers. Conquer any fears you may have about public speaking by starting with superhero-themed speech activities designed to build your confidence and unleash your talent as a dynamic superspeaker. Then, through game-based learning challenges, you and your classmates will practice taking a stance on issues that matter most to you. You’ll apply your newfound debate skills by crafting invincible arguments grounded in sharp logical reasoning, credibility, trustworthiness, and authority, while appealing to the values, hopes, and fears of your audience. Along the way, you will strengthen your rhetorical powers using timeless strategies introduced by the Greek philosopher Aristotle.
