Course Enrollment

Families select and purchase their courses through the MyCTY family portal. Enrollment is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is confirmed only once payment is submitted and any prerequisites are met.

Certain courses have mandatory prerequisites that students must meet when they enroll. Students who do not meet course prerequisites will not be able to enroll.

If a course is full, families can join our automated waitlist and be notified as soon as space becomes available.

Waitlist Process

CTY uses an automated waitlist system that offers available seats to students in the order they joined the list. Students may join the waitlist for up to five courses.

When a seat becomes available in a course, the next family in line on the waitlist will be notified via email and given 72 hours to claim the seat. If families do not take action within this window, the offer will expire and the seat will be offered to the next student on the list.

Just as families are responsible for selecting and purchasing courses directly through MyCTY, they are also responsible for managing their student’s waitlist preferences.

If a student is waitlisted for multiple courses, families must actively remove them from any waitlists they no longer wish to pursue. Claiming a seat from the waitlist is considered a course change and is subject to CTY’s course change process and refund policy.

Course Changes

To request a course change, log in to MyCTY and submit a transfer request. All course change requests must be submitted through MyCTY and will not be accepted via email. Course changes are not guaranteed and are subject to program approval and course availability. Course changes are generally not permitted after the application deadline.

Requests must align with our refund policy. A transfer fee will apply, unless the change is made prior to the start of the course and within the allowed refund window. Deadlines and eligibility may differ for online and in-person courses.
