BALTIMORE, MARYLAND September 17, 2013—CTY Greece, a new partnership designed to challenge and engage bright, pre-college students from Greece, was lauded as an incubator of ideas and innovation that provides real hope for the future at a celebration of the program held Monday, September 16, 2013 at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore....Read more.

Thanks to funding from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation and private donors, about 60 students from rural areas had the academic times of their lives at the 2013 CTY Summer Programs.  Johns Hopkins Magazine reports on the experience.

BALTIMORE August 15, 2013—Young scientists ages 13 to 18 with promising research ideas can now be awarded funding of up to $600 through a new annual competition sponsored by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY). CTY is establishing the CTY Cogito Research Awards to help offset the costs associated with conducting research in math and science for selected middle and high school students....Read more.

BALTIMORE May 28, 2013 -- Elaine Tuttle Hansen, Executive Director of the Center for Talented Youth (CTY), and David Andrews, Dean of the School of Education (SoE), announce the appointment of Amy Shelton to a dual role as Director of Research at CTY and professor in SoE, starting July 1, 2013. 

The appointment reflects a new and deeper collaboration between the two Johns Hopkins institutions. It will offer a significant opportunity to bridge the gap between basic research on learning and educational practice. SoE’s specific interest in personalized learning will provide a strong framework for building on CTY’s expertise in identifying and meeting the needs of the most highly advanced pre-college learners....Read more.
