Arabic Language Club

Welcome to the club! CTY’s World Languages Club is an opportunity for students interested in exploring the Arabic language to come together and learn in a community setting.

Through forum discussion and live sessions using assigned words related to each week's theme, students will expand their vocabulary, become more fluent and accurate when speaking their target language, and learn to demonstrate culturally appropriate body language and tone while speaking.

This club has synchronous virtual club meetings, and participation is highly encouraged. Club meeting times will be scheduled at the start of the club.

Note: Students can choose to sign up for total immersion or English-led options upon registration.

A few notes about this club:
This is not meant to replace or be considered a core piece of any course that CTY offers. While curricular content will be introduced, it is not at the quantity of a course, the focus is on giving students a chance to interact as a group rather than individual time working with a club advisor.

Meeting times: Monday, Wednesday – 6-7 p.m. ET

Time Commitment: 3-4 hours per week (2 hours class time, 1-2 hours independent work).
