Accelerated Grade 3 Mathematics
- Grades 1-3
Take Grade 3 math to a higher level with this accelerated online course. You’ll begin by reviewing foundational Grade 2 lessons and gaining early exposure to Grade 4 concepts through enrichment topics.
Each chapter is paired with videos, interactive webpages, graded assessments, and projects to develop your reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills for investigating and exploring Grade 3 math skills.
Your assigned CTY instructor will be available for learning support and one-on-one review sessions for graded assessments.
Help room meeting times (optional): Tuesday – 7 p.m. ET
Time Commitment: 3-6 hours per week (1 hour optional meeting, 3-5 hours independent work).
Enrollment and tuition are time-based—students may enroll in a course by selecting an open class below. Students will progress at their own pace, with guidance from instructors who strive to meet individual needs. Note: You will need to have an active CTY Account to complete registration through MyCTY.
Synchronous class meetings typically last about an hour.

Successful completion of Grade 2 Mathematics or equivalent

This course uses a virtual classroom for instructor-student communication. The classroom works on standard computers with the Zoom desktop client, and on tablets or handhelds that support the Zoom Mobile app. Recorded meetings can only be viewed on a computer with the Zoom desktop client installed. The Zoom desktop client and Zoom Mobile App are both free to download.
Chromebooks are not recommended due to required downloading of specialized software.
This course uses Respondus LockDown Browser proctoring software for designated assessments. LockDown Browser is a client application that is installed to a local computer. Visit the Respondus website for system requirements.
