Site Administrator for Marine Sciences Site

The Marine Sciences site is a partnership between CTY and the Living Classrooms Foundation (LCF). The Marine Sciences site administrator works collaboratively with LCF staff in the administration of the Marine Sciences site and assumes primary responsibility for the administrative and residential aspects of the program. The site administrator is the leader of the team that must constantly keep the big picture in mind while managing a range of details.

Terms of Employment:

  • First-year salary is $3,886 for the four-week session
  • Attendance the first weekend in June at an orientation in Baltimore, Friday to Sunday (no additional compensation, but CTY pays travel expenses and provides room and board)
  • Telephone and email consultations throughout the year, as needed
  • Employees pay their travel to and from program location
  • Room and board are provided

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
  • Background that includes a combination of teaching, administration, or residential life, and a commitment to excellence in education
  • Prior or present leadership within an educational environment
  • Excellent supervisory and organizational skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and web-based applications, such as Box

The position starts on June 18.
