Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and PSAT 8/9 Accommodations

SAT Accommodations

Students with disabilities who wish to take the College Board’s SAT test need to contact the College Board in order to receive testing accommodations. You can find further details about this process on their Services for Students with Disabilities page. The College Board Services for Students with Disabilities office can also be reached at 212-713-8333 or ssd@info.collegeboard.org.

Please be aware that the process for requesting accommodations for the SAT can be time intensive. The process can take up to seven weeks and does not start until all documentation is received. It is key to be aware of important deadlines for College Board accommodations because of this.

PSAT 8/9 Accommodations

For students opting to take the PSAT 8/9, formal College Board approval of accommodations is not required. There will be a question during the application to test that asks what accommodations are needed. Students are encouraged to only utilize accommodations that they typically use during standardized testing for accurate testing.
