Because of the individualized nature of the non-standard testing conditions and the coordination of resources, the special accommodations process may take several weeks to complete. Be sure to start the process early.
Students ages 13 and up requesting special testing accommodations for the ACT should refer to the section "Testing for Students with Disabilities" in ACT registration booklet, check the ACT Services for Students with Disabilities page, or call 319-337-1270 before registering to test. Students in high school will work with their school counselor on this.
Students ages 13 and under requesting special testing accommodations for the ACT should attach the Request for ACT-Approved Accommodations and/or English Learner (EL) Supports form (PDF) to their CTY ACT Registration form (PDF). Both the registration and accommodations forms should be sent in together along with supporting documentation.
