Individually Paced Courses

Math courses, chess, most computer science and technology, and science courses are offered in an individually paced format and have rolling enrollment. Students may apply at any time but please allow two weeks for applications to be processed. See the FAQs for more information about how these courses work.

Session-Based Courses: 2017-2018 Application Deadlines and Session Dates

AP, forensics, engineering, English language development, grammar, critical reading, NCAA-approved math, NCAA-approved science, visual fluency, world languages, and writing courses are offered in a session-based format and have specific start and end dates, shown below. See the FAQs for more information on how these courses work.

Crafting the Essay for English Language Learners

* Note that Intro to Computer Science and Engineering, Intro to Forensics, and Inventions in Engineering, NCAA-approved math, and NCAA-approved science courses are session based, not individually paced. See schedule above for dates.

†AP Computer Science A is not offered during the 12-week winter session. AP Spanish Literature and Culture is not offered during the 12-week winter, early summer, or mid-summer sessions.

Mastering the Fundamentals of Music is not offered during the late summer session.

Flexi-Paced Courses

Students begin on a set start date (September 25 and November 27, 2017; January 29, April 9, June 4, and July 23, 2018) and work with their instructors to develop a flexible schedule to complete the course within the following nine months. The Process of Writing, Writing for an Audience, Crafting the Essay, and Writing Analysis and Persuasion are offered as flexi-paced courses. The application deadline is two weeks prior to the set start date.
