CTY is experiencing heavy communications and application processing volumes. We appreciate your patience and will respond to queries as quickly as possible.
Students younger than second grade who are interested in participating in CTY Online Programs math programs must obtain a qualifying score on an individually-administered test of intellectual ability or math achievement. The Diagnostic and Counseling Center offers these qualifying tests. The tests can be administered singly, for the sole purpose of program qualification, or as part of a larger psycho-educational assessment battery.
For families interested in testing only for program qualification, the test typically used is the KeyMath-3. This interactive assessment is administered in a one-on-one by a licensed psychologist. The evaluation takes one to two hours, and most students find it very enjoyable. The cost for the KeyMath-3 is $275, and parents will receive a written report describing their child's performance.
