Students may request nonstandard testing accommodations when testing for the CTY Talent Searches. Please obtain the required information from the appropriate organization listed below. Please note: Because of the individualized nature of the non-standard testing conditions and the coordination of resources, the special accommodations process may take several weeks to complete. Parents are strongly advised to start the process early to avoid any conflicts with CTY deadlines.
Students with disabilities in grades 7-8 who wish to take the College Board's SAT test need to contact College Board online at College Board's Website (Services for Students with Disabilities Page) or by phone at 866-756-7346 before registering to test. Students requesting special testing accommodations should refer to the section "Testing for Students with Disabilities" in ACT registration booklet or check "Students with Disabilities" at www.actstudent.org or call 319-337-1270 before registering to test.
Students with disabilities in grades 2-4 take the SCAT test on computer at Prometric Test Centers and must submit a Request for Nonstandard Testing Accommodations to the CTY Diagnostic and Counseling Center before registering to test. This form is also available by calling CTY at 410-735-6278. Please do NOT call Prometric to schedule your child's testing appointment until you hear from the Diagnostic and Counseling Center regarding the approval or denial of your request.
