Founded in 1876, Johns Hopkins University was the first US university to be dedicated to both teaching and research. It remains a world leader in medicine, science, and engineering. The 140-acre Homewood campus of Johns Hopkins University is situated in the Charles Village neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. Students enjoy the atmosphere of a small, private university with air-conditioned residence halls and classrooms, modern science facilities, access to a two-million-volume library, and a newly renovated dining hall. Approximately 380 students and 95 staff are expected to attend each session. Transportation: A student shuttle service is available only from Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI) and Baltimore’s Penn Station (for students traveling by train). Carlisle, Pennsylvania Dickinson College
Dickinson College is located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, a pre-revolutionary town of 20,000 people located in the beautiful Cumberland Valley of Central Pennsylvania. Founded in 1773 as one of the 15 colonial colleges, Dickinson was named for John Dickinson, governor of Pennsylvania, who drafted the Articles of Confederation. The college’s first building, Old West (left), was completed in 1804. This picturesque, 55-acre campus is distinguished by beautiful air-conditioned classroom buildings and residence halls fashioned of native limestone. Approximately 400 students and 100 staff are expected to attend each session. Lancaster, Pennsylvania Franklin & Marshall College
The 70-acre campus of Franklin & Marshall College, a small, private liberal arts institution over 200 years old, is located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, a community which boasts a rich cultural and historic tradition, including the country’s oldest continuously operating farmer’s market. The campus offers air-conditioned facilities and features excellent science laboratories, athletic facilities, and library resources. Approximately 500 students and 125 staff are expected to attend each session. Note: Because this site typically has many students with food allergies, it is a nut-free site. Los Angeles, California Loyola Marymount University
Situated on a 150-acre bluff above Marina del Rey, the Loyola Marymount campus overlooks the city and the Pacific Ocean, enjoys a coastal climate, and was recently named one of Princeton Review’s Top 20 Most Beautiful Campuses. The campus is located in a quiet residential area just ten minutes from Los Angeles International Airport. Loyola Marymount offers excellent academic and recreational facilities. Saratoga Springs, New York Skidmore College
Skidmore College is located on more than 650 acres of wooded land at the edge of Saratoga Springs, a well-known cultural and entertainment center in upper New York state. The campus was planned to preserve the natural beauty of the setting and offers excellent residence halls, classrooms, laboratories, athletic facilities, and a newly renovated dining hall. Approximately 270 students and 70 staff are expected to attend each session. Kaneohe, Hawaii Hawaii Pacific University
Nestled in the foothills of the Ko’olau Mountains, on the windward side of the island of Oahu, Hawaii Pacific University’s Hawaii Loa campus provides an ideal venue for a site with a special focus on Hawaii. Though the surrounding tropical foliage and views of mountains create a sense of spaciousness, the residential, academic, and dining facilities are all in close proximity. Space for approximately 36 CTY qualifiers is reserved each session. Note: Courses at the Kaneohe site are part of our CAA 7th Grade and Above program, but because of their unique nature, may be of special interest to students who are also eligible for CTY 7th Grade and Above courses.
