SDB Administrator Nomination

One of the privileges of being an SDB teaching fellow is the opportunity to nominate a colleague for recognition as an SDB administrative fellow. This is someone who, as a school administrator, fostered a climate in which the nominator flourished as a teacher prior to or during selection as an SDB fellow.

Administrator Nomination Guidelines

Each year SDB Fellows in the previous class receive a request to nominate an administrator, along with a nomination form and asked to write an essay as follows:

  1. The essay describes how the nominated administrator assisted the teacher in performing their work at a high level.
  2. How decisions by the nominee nurtured the achievement of  students, particularly those students of high ability.
  3. Offer specific examples of support and inspiration for adults and students.
  4. Discuss the nominee’s contributions to others at their school or in their district or to the profession as a whole.

Fellowship Application

Nominees are invited to apply for the SDB Fellowship, where the nominator is identified by name. A panel of CTY educators reviews the applications and selects the new class of Fellows.  The number of acceptances will vary from year to year.
