The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) Hong Kong University of Science and Technology new joint program in Hong Kong is a three-week residential and commuter summer program for academically talented middle and high school students in grades 5 through 9 / years 6 through 10 in 13 year schools. Students in grades 5 - 6 will be commuting students; students in grades 7 - 9 may be either residential or commuting students. To participate in this program, students must first be qualified for CTY programs through the CTY International Talent Search (ITS). If your child has not yet registered with ITS, please do so. Based at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), a beautiful university located on the outskirts of the city, the Johns Hopkins CTY Hong Kong University of Science and Technology joint program combines the strength of CTY’s summer programs with the benefits of studying and living in a historically rich and important city in East Asia. HKUST’s facilities include excellent classrooms and labs, extensive recreational facilities, and comfortable dormitory rooms. As students from across Asia take rigorous courses from a wide range of disciplines, they will be challenged academically in curriculum areas ranging from fast-paced science and computer programming to mathematical modeling and essay writing. For more information, please email ctyinfo@jhu.edu.
For CTY qualified students in grades 9-12, HKUST has a three-week program that will take place on campus from July 15 – August 5. Information about this program can be found at http://talent.ust.hk.
