The tuition and fees listed below are in effect for courses that begin on or after January 1, 2015. To see tuition rates for courses that begin from January 1 through June 30, 2016, please visit the 2016 Tuition & Fees page.
Tuition for individually paced courses is based on the amount of time selected. Students who complete a course with five or more business days remaining in their enrollment may use the extra time to begin another individually paced course. Students who have not completed their course when their enrollment time ends may pay to re-enroll for more time. Math courses (including AP Calculus and AP Statistics), chess, computer science and technology, and science courses below the AP level (except Intro to Forensics and Inventions in Engineering) are individually paced.
In addition to the 3, 6, or 9 month options, students who are extending their enrollment to finish an individually paced course may apply for a 1 month extension for $260 (tuition), plus the $15 Application Fee discussed below. The application fee may be waived if the student's enrollment period has not yet expired at the time the student applies for an extension. The 1 month tuition option is only available to students who are extending their enrollment in an unfinished individually paced course. The 1 month extension is not available to students who are enrolling into new individually paced courses.

$15 Non-refundable Application Fee is required for all applicants, including those who are extending an individually paced enrollment
$15 International Fee is required for all students living outside the United States (If the cost of shipping materials outside of the United States is above this amount, the excess cost will be charged directly to the student's account)
$25 Late Application Fee, for session-based courses only
$25 Course Change Fee. Course changes are generally not possible except when CTY determines that the student should be placed at a different level, in which case the fee is waived. If a course change is requested for another reason, and the change is approved by CTY, the course change fee is applied. [Qualified CTY students are encouraged to register at https://mycty.jhu.edu/surveys/placement/placement.cfm to take free math and computer science and technology placement tests to help determine appropriate course placement. Contact email@example.com to request placement test if uncertain about which CTY Online Programs world language course would be the most appropriate place to begin.
Full payment of tuition and fees must accompany the application. Payment may be made by check, money order, MasterCard, or Visa. Students may enroll only after all past due balances are paid (including balances from other CTY programs). Payments are applied to oldest balances first and then to current application requirements. Applications cannot be processed without payment and will be returned.
Parents and/or guardians can receive an 80 percent tuition refund by submitting a written withdrawal request to CTY no later than two weeks after the course start date. Students who withdraw from a course prior to the start date will receive a full refund of tuition paid. Refunds may take up to five buisness days to process for electronic payment. Paper check refunds take two to four weeks to process from the time that withdrawal notification is received by the CTY Registrar. Application fees will not be refunded. Send withdrawal requests to firstname.lastname@example.org
Students who withdraw or fail to participate after the two-week withdrawal period are not eligible for refunds. Students who violate the Student Code of Conduct may be withdrawn from the program without refund.
Some courses require the separate purchase of a textbook or other course materials. See the specific course description for details. Other materials, however, are supplied by CTY. If your course requires a textbook, please order it well in advance of the start date to be sure the student is equipped to begin.
Students who complete a course with five or more days remaining in their enrollment are advanced to the next most appropriate individually paced course after receiving their grade for the previous course. Students can work on this new course until their enrollment period ends, or, if they want more time to work on the new course, they can pay additional tuition and fees to re-enroll for one or more months online through MyCTY. Note that students may be required to purchase a textbook in some courses (see individual course descriptions).
A few spaces remain in session-based courses starting Sept. 26! Apply now to enroll in AP, critical reading (Art Meets Science, Young Readers', Young Adult Readers'), engineering, English language development, forensics, grammar, music, visual fluency, world languages (Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish), and writing courses for the fall.
