$30 non-refundable Application Fee is required for all applicants $35 International Fee per course is required for all students living outside the United States $25 Late Application Fee, for session-based courses only Full payment of tuition and fees must accompany the application. Payment may be made by check, money order, MasterCard, or Visa. Students may enroll only after all past due balances are paid (including balances from other CTY programs). Payments are applied to oldest balances first and then to current application requirements. Applications cannot be processed without payment and will be returned. Parents/guardians can receive a 50% tuition refund by submitting a written withdrawal request that is received by CTY no later than two weeks after the course start date, provided that software and course materials (if provided by CTY) are returned in satisfactory condition. The application fee is non-refundable. Refunds take approximately four to six weeks to process, or longer, pending receipt of the courseware. Send withdrawal requests to ctyonline@jhu.edu Students who withdraw or fail to participate after the two-week withdrawal period is past do not receive refunds. Students who violate the Student Code of Conduct may be withdrawn from the program without refund. Some courses require the separate purchase of a textbook or other course materials. See the specific course description for details. Other materials, however, are supplied by CTY. If your course requires a textbook, please order it well in advance of the start date to be sure the student is equipped to begin. Students who complete a course with seven or more business days remaining in their enrollment may use the extra time to advance into another individually paced course to complete their enrollment period. There is no charge to advance into another individually paced course as long as students have seven or more business days remaining in their enrollment at the end of their courses; in some courses, however, students may be required to purchase a textbook (see individual course description). Under this individually paced system, students are enrolling for all the coursework that they can complete within the enrollment period, even if that extends beyond the specific course for which they originally registered. Students who have not completed their course when their enrollment time ends may re-enroll for more time. A long-term goal of CTY is to enable all qualified students to participate regardless of the family's economic circumstances. Financial aid is available to students whose families demonstrate financial need by submitting the DE Financial Aid application with a copy of parent(s) 2007 federal tax return. Students requesting aid must submit the financial aid application along with the CTYOnline Program Application (with required tuition deposit) at least 30 days before the course start date. If hardships exist in paying the deposit, applicants may request a deposit reduction by contacting the Financial Aid Office at (800) 393-6095 PRIOR TO submitting the applications. Failure to abide by these policies will delay the application. Each student may apply for financial aid for only one session-based course or, in the case of individually-paced courses, for one three-month period, per fiscal year (starts July 1). Additional financial aid in following years is based on previous satisfactory student performance, a complete written request for continued assistance, and available funds; however, there is no guarantee of additional aid. Financial aid for CTYOnline courses does not affect summer programs financial aid eligibility. Financial aid is not available for families with outstanding CTY account balances.
