Grades 9 - 12 Qualifying reading/verbal score and completion of Algebra II or the equivalent 0.5 credit Session Dates and Application Deadlines AP Macroeconomics is an introduction to how the market system works, how prices are determined, why shortages and surpluses occur, and why incomes differ. The course emphasizes the study of national income, price determination, economic performance measures, economic growth, and international economics. This course, which prepares students to take the AP Macroeconomics exam, has been reviewed and approved by the College Board to use the "AP" designation. Intensive summer session requires 10-14 hours per week for 12 weeks. Academic year session requires 4-7 hours per week for 30 weeks, with breaks for holidays.
